What is the Best Way to Learn to Sing?

Mar 23, 2023

In the past few months, we had an incredible event called the Confident Singer Bootcamp. There were a lot of passionate singers out there who posted their songs on social media, asked for feedback, and saw the benefits of changing their vocal technique.

In this episode, I’d love to share a little piece of it with you. If you want to be part of the next Confident Singer Bootcamp, sign up for the waitlist here to be the first one notified: https://www.singinginsiders.com/confident-singer-bootcamp-waitlist

Confident Singer Bootcamp

I was asked these questions:

What is the best vocal technique to learn?

How can I find the best vocal coach?

Which song suits my voice the best?

What genre does my voice sound best?

See, here's the thing, there are so many different vocal training methods available. Several types of vocal methodologies include complete vocal technique, Estill voice training, speech-level singing, and the classical way of singing.

So, which method is the best option? There is a very good probability that you will slow down your development and growth if you keep on believing that there is just one optimal way to do what you want to achieve.

Consider experiencing vocal freedom from the perspective of a recipe. Only when all the ingredients of the step-by-step plan come together will you genuinely produce a magnificent result.

Singing is much more than just singing!

The majority of us are made to believe that having natural talent is a must to succeed as a singer. Or that if you sing more, you will improve as a singer.

The vocal muscles you use to sing are important. Yet artistry also plays a part. Being creative, singing with feelings, presenting a story, inspiring your audience, and having the confidence to share our love of singing with someone else.

As a singer, you should concentrate on a lot more than merely toning your vocal muscles. It is therefore essential for your development that you follow a framework that guides you through each of these components. That's exactly what we do by using the Sing Yourself to Freedom Formula.

Unfortunately, most singing instructors nowadays only concentrate on teaching you the basics of how to use your voice healthily. While this is unquestionably necessary, concentrating solely on your voice leaves out many of the essential components for truly developing yourself as an artist by only focusing on training your vocal muscles

Perhaps you are someone who visits YouTube and Google to search for "how to learn to sing". That is totally fine! There are a lot of coaches and instructional videos. But, the major drawback is that not all vocal methods are congruent.

Choosing the one, proper, best singing philosophy or methodology can be challenging because there are so many of them! The videos can get confusing. There are only sporadic videos that merely describe one voice practice or method; you are completely unaware of the overall picture.

What is the structure blueprint that you should follow?

Following a structure or formula associated with standard vocal training that works for you is the answer to this problem. Otherwise, you risk actually beginning to use your vocal muscles incorrectly.

Our goal is for us to learn a system that outlines the precise vocal techniques you should use to achieve the desired sound when singing any song you choose. Our goal is to use your voice in a very specific way.

If you’d love to know more about vocal techniques, I’d love to invite you to join our next Confident Singer Bootcamp which I will announce very soon! In the meanwhile, sign up for the waitlist here: https://www.singinginsiders.com/confident-singer-bootcamp-waitlist
